LBS SET exam 2023

Kerala SET exam 2023 is a state-wide qualification exam regulated by the Kerala government for the recruitment of Higher Secondary and Non-vocational School teachers. The SET or State Eligibility Test is been authorized to be conducted by the L.B.S Centre for Science and Technology. Further, the latest news regarding the exam, prospectus, and important dates will be published on the official website of L.B.S at www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. Candidates can register for the exam by navigating to the official website.

Applicants who have a Master's degree with not less than 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree is the essential qualification, however B.Ed. degree is not a mandatory degree for certain subjects as specified in the prospectus. Also, candidates who have qualified training courses like LTTC and DLED are also eligible for Kerala SET.

Consequently, applicants who have qualified for any one of the essential qualifications can sit for the SET exam adhering to the following permissible eligibilities as listed below.

For candidates who have qualified only for post-graduate degrees should at least be pursuing B.Ed. degree (Final year).
And for candidates who already possess B.Ed. degree must be in the final year of a post-graduate degree.
Further, as per the regulations stated above, the students must have qualified for the aforementioned degrees either B.Ed. or PG within a span of 1 year from the day of the SET examination.

Kerala SET exam 2023 Registration

The exams can be applied through online mode through the official portal of the L.B.S Centre of Science and Technology. And the examination fees for various categories differ accordingly i.e., for the General/ OBC category, the center will levy a charge of Rs 1000 and for SC/ ST/ PwBD category the fees levied will be Rs 500.

Kerala SET exam 2023 Notification for the next session will be probably out by the month of October 2023 and the exam will happen in the month of December 2023 or January 2024.

The candidates are requested to go through the prospectus carefully before applying as well as scrutinize each step before proceeding with the final submission.

The exam will happen either by the end of 2023 or by the beginning of 2024 as and when scheduled by the L.B.S Centre of Science and Technology.

Kerala SET exam 2023 Previous Year Question Papers

The Kerala SET exam consists of two papers a general paper and a core paper. Find the profoundness of each paper below.

Paper I: Paper I is common for all subjects and consist of two parts namely A) General Knowledge and B) Aptitude in Teaching
Paper II: Paper II shall be a test based on the core subject or the applicant’s specialization subject for Post Graduation

The SET exam result will be promptly published on the official website after a month’s time or less. So, the last test was conducted on 23^rd July 2023, whose answer keys were published on the day after the exam itself and the results can be expected on or before 23^rd August 2023.
